Mark Your Calendar: Application Portal Opening Soon
The start of the new year is the start of new beginnings. Mark your calendar: January 1, 2024, is when the application portal for the Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) and Master of Health Leadership and Policy (MHLP) program will open.

The application portal for the MEL and MHLP will open on January 1, 2024 for programs starting in January 2025.
The interdisciplinary MEL and MHLP degrees can help you shift your industry focus, advance into positions of greater responsibility and have a greater impact in your industry. Each of the sector-specific programs includes technical courses covering the most important industry issues and business courses to help you become a confident leader in your field.
“Our world is in constant change,” says Academic Director Justin Bull. “Industry needs people who can make a leap and understand multiple perspectives – and to push the envelope in engineering or health care you need to understand the world of business.”
The MEL and MHLP do just that.
TWO APPLICATION ROUNDS
There are two MEL and MHLP application rounds:
- Round 1: March 25, 2024
- Round 2: June 25, 2024
It’s highly recommended that you apply for the first round. Applying in round one will give you early access to course registration in June. For international students, this will make sure you have lots of time to receive your study permit and plan your move to Vancouver. For domestic students, applying early also makes it easier to make the transition to being a student.

Over the next few months, take some time to familiarize yourself with the specific of the program you are interested in, eligibility requirements and the type of information we ask for in the application:

- Sign up for an information session to learn more about the programs and how to submit a strong application
- Review our application checklist so that you know what you’ll need to submit along with your application
