Let us help with your healthcare recruitment.
Care + Operations
MHLP graduates have both strong clinical skills and the ability to develop business cases, manage projects and lead change within an organization.
One of a kind
There is no other full-time master’s program in North America that offers this unique blend of healthcare specialization with business and leadership development.
Social + Physical
Recruit healthcare delivery professionals adept at enhancing patient outcomes by addressing conditions of both social and physical environment.
Hire your next healthcare leader.
To grow your hospital or healthcare organization, you need to hire the best of the best. Aging population, consolidation and competition, ongoing reform to the system and a growing reliance on technology—these are just a few of the factors contributing to the talent shortage in the healthcare sector. We understand how difficult it can be to find top healthcare talent with substantive knowledge related to seniors care or clinical education and business operations. This is where the UBC Master of Health Leadership and Policy (MHLP) comes in. Developed as a collaboration between UBC School of Nursing and the UBC Sauder’s Robert H. Lee Graduate School — the UBC Master of Health Leadership and Policy (MHLP) degree is designed to provide the best of both worlds: a degree for practicing health professionals to update or refresh their skills, while gaining knowledge in operations, leadership and management.
Uniquely multi-disciplinary.
The healthcare industry demands leaders who are well-versed in both the technical and the business and leadership. And we listened. Currently, there is no other full-time graduate program in Canada that offers this unprecedented blend of healthcare specialization and master’s-level business education. Recruiting a graduate from the UBC MHLP degree means hiring experienced healthcare professionals with on average 5-7 years of professional experience. During the 12-month degree program, they further specialize through courses at the UBC School of Nursing, and business and leadership through the UBC Sauder School of Business.
