High Performance Buildings

On December 3, the UBC MEL students specializing in High Performance Buildings (HPB) attended an industry night hosted by Stantec.

Current HPB students, instructors, program directors, alumni and industry professionals (including representatives from Stantec, Integral and Cascadia Green Development) came together to celebrate the successes of the 2019 cohort of soon-to-be graduates. It was a great opportunity for students to connect with peers and industry professionals as their 12-month program comes to an end.

The event brought together different stakeholders within the HPB community for a night of mingling and networking, where students had the opportunity to discuss current trends in the industry. It also provided a platform for HPB students to showcase what they have learned this year, share their most memorable experiences, and overview the lessons they learned in the MEL program.

The industry night is the last event of the year for HPB students. Now, they will turn their attention towards reentering the workforce as MEL graduates. We are so excited to see HPB graduates excel as they take their careers to new heights!
