MEL and MHLP Students Win Bursary — BCCPA’s 40 for 40
Two UBC students — one of the MEL and one of the MHLP degree — were selected as recipients of the BCCPA student bursary program. The 40 for 40 bursary program provides an all-expenses paid trip to its 2018 Annual Conference in Whistler.
The British Columbia Care Provider’s Association (BCCPA) announced the recipients of the 2018 bursary, “The high calibre of submissions we received just goes to show how passionate these students are about health and seniors’ care,” says BCCPA Director of Programs Snezana Ristovski. One student studying in the MEL degree, and one in the MHLP degree were among those selected. Congratulations to:
- Laura Ledas (Masters of Health Leadership and Policy in Seniors Care)
- Tomy Stephan (Master of Engineering Leadership in High Performance Buildings)
The bursary includes meals, two nights accommodation at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and transportation — valued at $2,000. At the conference, students will network with thought leaders, care professionals, potential employers, and officials from the Ministry of Health and health authorities, and learn more about the continuing care sector.
