Geoffrey Cox
Geoff is a Vancouver based architect with a strong passion for regenerative design, sustainable systems, and interdisciplinary design approaches and processes. He brings over 10 years of experience working on a variety of projects including institutional, educational, residential, recreational, industrial and infrastructure typologies.
Additionally, Geoff has experience working with mass timber construction, LEED, Living Building Challenge (LBC), Passive House, as well as exposure to emerging industry trends in building energy use reduction and decarbonization through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Cradle-to-Cradle strategies. His most recent experience includes assuming the roles of associate, project architect, project manager, sustainability advisor as well as integrated design process specialist. In addition to these associated technical skills and abilities, he holds a profound respect and reverence for living systems within nature, deriving design inspiration from biophilia, biomimicry and ecologically mutualistic relationships.
Geoff is an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia where he teaches Regenerative Design to students within the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA) and the Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) High Performance Buildings (HPB) program.
