UBC MEL CWRA 2021 National Conference

The Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) is a national organization of individuals and organizations from the public, private, and academic sectors. The CWRA strives to raise awareness of the value of water and promote sustainable, responsible, and effective water resources management in Canada. Attending the CWRA 2021 National Conference will be a variety of water professionals, including managers, administrators, scientists, academics, students, and young professionals.

This year’s conference is titled “Managing Water Risks and Opportunities: Sharing Knowledge and Expertise.” Bob Sandford, Chair in Water and Climate Security at the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health, will be delivering an opening message at the conference. The event will also include a host of different Keynote and Plenary speakers, and will ruminate on a number of topics including water management and agriculture, risk management, urban hydrology and quality, water in times of pandemic, and more.

A UBC Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) representative will be hosting a virtual booth at the conference. If you will be attending this event, please make sure to stop by and chat with us about the MEL in Integrated Water Management, and how it might advance your career!
